The traditional Labin folk fest Petrova is held with regard to St. Peter and Paul Day. Ever since ancient times the longest day of the year served perfectly to organize a fair (called samonj in the local dialect) offering home-made products from Labin and other parts of Istria, and successful trading was always concluded over a glass of wine and a bit of fun gathering. Petrova was also known as the fair for local young men to buy the engagement rings for their girlfriends from the traveling jewellery and filigree stores. Enjoy the Labin tradition in the Old town main square with entertainment programs and live music.
Start at 8 PM, Titov trg, Labin Old town
